MICRO STRATEGIES-MACRO EQUILIBRIUM

This project was undertaken in a global summer school called self(a)architecture by IAAC, This program focused on ideas of self-sufficiency, self-fabrication, self-organisation and collective Intelligence by using science and technology.

The focus of the design was to avoid major change to the existing urban fabric and integrate energy generation as a layer of technology above the current infrastructure. Various site studies were undertaken to understand the existing urban condition, which was later used to design an appropriate insert. The proposal mainly centered on introducing an energy redistribution grid on site and reprogramming an existing commercial complex. This complex would introduce more people and activity, while at the same time the grid would maintains optimum energy conditions across the block.
